![]() ![]() So this week, give Valentine’s Day the middle finger and treat your fine self to a dessert that isn’t made for two to share, whether you’re single or not. I’d seen a few similar recipes about 3-4 years ago when mug cakes were becoming all the rage, but I feel like a 1 minute chocolate chip cookie deserves not to be forgotten with all the other food trends, this cookie deserves as much love as all other cookies. No oven, no greasing big baking trays, no dough chilling, no weighing things, just straight up instant chocolate chip loveliness. ![]() ![]() Basically, if you have a bowl, a spoon and a microwave, you can make this cookie. In less than 3 minutes, you can get your bum off the couch and have this ridiculously delicious Microwave Chocolate Chip Cookie in your mouth. This cookie is also criminally easy to make. In my opinion, the softer and meltier, the better! This tastes exactly like a fresh cookie hot from the oven, just without a crisp edge. Soft, warm vanilla-scented cookie dough with gooey puddles of melted chocolate in every bite. This Microwave Chocolate Chip Cookie for one is the ultimate individual treat. Desserts of any size and flavour should be savoured and loved, and you should not be judged for enjoying one all to yourself. Well NOT ANYMORE.Ī single serving dessert doesn’t need to be a sad, regrettable affair. The only problem is, usually they come in the form of a ready-made trifle in a meal deal, or a dry-ass mug cake recipe you saw on Facebook. Single serving desserts are a magical thing, a portion of something delicious that you have absolutely no obligation or social expectation to share with anyone. This is also a post for people who DO have a sweetheart, but have absolutely zero desire to share desserts with them. This post is dedicated to everyone who doesn’t have a sweetheart this month, and who quite frankly doesn’t care. Carrie This Home is not responsible for any illness related to this recipe. My last post was a little celebration of all things tacky, red and wonderfully commercialised around Valentine’s Day. Researchers say microwaving the raw flour for one minute and 15 seconds stirring at 15 second intervals may kill the harmful bacteria. Quick disclaimer: This recipe calls for flour and some experts warn against eating raw flour. If you’re not selfish like me, you can choose to share this with a friend! It would be enough for the two of you to get a small treat!īy the way, if you’re looking for a mixer, this is the mixer I use & it’s awesome! It’s affordable and it stirs the thick cookie dough like a boss! My small batch was big enough for my sweet tooth but small enough I wouldn’t feel super guilty for eating the whole thing. The taste and the amount this recipe made was perfect. So that’s what I did! I started making my own smaller batch and changed up some of the ingredient amounts until it was just right. Then the solution finally hit me– make a smaller batch so you won’t overeat! When I make this, it’s usually when I’m by myself (so I don’t have to share!) It makes a pretty big batch and in fear that someone would find it in the fridge, I’d eat all of it within two days.īecause I was being selfish, I’d overeat and then make myself sick. I’m assuming this recipe was intended for several people to share. I love this version of cookie dough but there was a problem. I’ve made this version an embarrassing amount of times several times! ![]() My usual go-to recipe for Egg-less Cookie Dough came from Fun Foods on a Budget. ![]()
